Individualized Attention
Each patient and client receives a one hour initial evaluation, and 45-60 minute treatment sessions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. No fitness trainers or aides are utilized to supervise your exercises, and there are no co-treatments of other patients at the same time.
During the evaluation you have the opportunity to give a detailed history of your injury, diagnosis and complaint of pain. Most importantly, an understanding of your treatment goals and expectations will be discussed. A basic tenet of your recovery is ensuring that we at LTPT understand what your short term and long term goals are regarding your physical movement and well being.
Part of your initial evaluation will include an assessment of any compensatory movement patterns you have adopted in response to your pain or condition, and an introduction of new movement strategies to begin the healing cycle.
On your subsequent follow up visits, treatment will begin with a brief review of any movement strategies discussed at your initial evaluation. Any manual therapies considered appropriate for your condition will be administered and an individualized therapeutic exercise program will be formulated to address your specific needs. Here the goal is to create a movement program that promotes biomechanical counseling and behavior modification that carries over to decreased pain with functional activities.
All exercises will be directly supervised to allow for correction and appropriate progression. The primary purpose of this direct supervision is for the patient to internalize their exercises and movements to gain independence and confidence so that they can continue their program upon discharge from physical therapy.
No Waiting
We value your time and appreciate your busy schedule. Your treatment session will begin and end on time. We are flexible and try to accommodate for any scheduling requirements.
